How are you doing?

How are you doing?

So we have had three stories on “waiting” and I would love to know how you are doing? The best thing that could come from these posts is  you would find this blog as an accountability of sorts. Like I wrote in my own story, accountability was key for me when Brett and I dated.

What do you struggle with? Are you currently dating someone and thinking it may be impossible to wait. I’ve been there. Are you single, maybe you’ve never even had your first kiss and think maybe marriage was not meant for you. Allison’s been there. Or maybe it’s too late for you, you’ve given your purity away and now feel somewhat “cursed.” Mildred knows what that feels like…

I say all of this to encourage you. You are not alone. Fighting for your purity is one of the most beautiful things you can do in our Father’s eyes. The Bible says, “Blessed are the pure in spirit, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

Psalm 51:10 says, Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 - It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.

God is for you, He designed you and knows exactly why you long to be loved and give love. He also knows that sex is a sacred holy act that only two married people can protect and create a trusting environment to express this incredible love. There are too many “what if’s” when sex happens outside covenant. What if he leaves? What if he thinks I am un attractive? What if I am not good at sex? What if he finds someone better at it then I am?

The marriage covenant seals two people as one. When marriage is treated as God intended it to, I know how many divorces happen everyday, sex is safe and you have your entire lives to get it just right ;)

Please, let me know how you are doing. Do you have questions? Is there something I or my other two guest bloggers have said that you just don’t understand, leave a comment and let us know.

Thank you for reading and sharing this with your loved ones and please continue to. We have more guest bloggers coming and I pray it just confirms your commitment to wait.

Love you all,

  1. My favorite is “Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8) – Thank you, Leslee, for your “Waiting” series. God bless. Paul
