For the past month I have had the great pleasure of making over some of my close friends. They graciously let me take before and after pictures for both my blog and makeup website, here.
To say I love doing makeup on others is an understatement. My sister was my very first model and she still regularly helps me practice some new looks. I have been playing with makeup since I was a little girl and that anticipating excitement before the “unveiling” still gets me every time. I thought I would highlight each “True Beauty” I had the honor of making over to give you an insight into how wonderfully they were created.
This is the truth, every time I look at Christine’s “Before” I can’t help but think she really doesn’t need one stitch of makeup to make her anymore beautiful. Look at this girl, simply breathtaking.
Christine is my across the street neighbor and also the mom of my little boy’s very best friend, Harper. She has one other little boy Miles and her husband also happens to be my boss. Christine has an incredible smile, loves to laugh, and has an incredible inner strength and perseverance. I haven’t know Christine for very long, but from what I do know about her her she is one mighty woman of God. I love that our children are growing up together and I love that I have such a kind and caring friend in Christine. She brought our family food to eat with each new baby I brought home and without hesitation allows my son to go over and add to her already full house. Christine’s spirit is inspiring and I know God has great things in store for her family.
I found Christine’s perfect foundation match. She is a warm undertone and I went with a pinkish blush to emphasize her beautiful skin. I used my Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 for Christine’s eyeshadows and used Tease and Busted as my main colors. Her eyeliner was my Loreal Liquid Liner in Carbon Black and mascara was Cover Girl’s Lash Blast Volume. Her lips were a mauve/pink lipcolor with a pink gloss to go over. Christine has great lips. I asked her if that was her favorite thing to do was play with lips colors. She said, “I only use Burt’s Bees…” Haha. I would be putting on gloss galore with that pout!
When our little session was over we both had such a great time. It was a blessing for me and I pray it was for her too. Thanks Christine for sharing your afternoon with me, you are a True Beauty!
