Wisdom Shares Her Heart

Wisdom Shares Her Heart

“Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls out to the crowds along the main street, and to those in front of city hall. ¬†Come here and listen to me! I’ll pour out the spirit of wisdom upon you and make you wise.”

Proverbs 1:20 – 23

Every morning I ask God for His wisdom. I know that without it I am prone to making mistakes… The Bible says Wisdom will pour out her heart to you and she will counsel you. It’s like having your own personal decision maker following you around all day, and with my life, I am in desperate need of her.

How do we cultivate His wisdom in our lives? First, we ask.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

James 4:2 & 3 also says we do not possess the things we desire because we do not ask for them. Christ is on the edge of His seat waiting to pour out his knowledge and understanding on you. He also desires you to want it. Why would anyone give a precious gift to an ungrateful receiver?

After asking for wisdom we must actively walk out our desire for it.

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Fear is broken up into two actions. Reverence (attitude) and Obedience (action). Are we actively portraying reverence to the Father, acknowledging who He is and His grandness. Do we obey is commands? Do we follow where He leads. Reverence and obedience are keys to Wisdom abounding in your life.

I have only been studying the book of Wisdom for about 2 months now and I cannot tell you the incredible change I have seen within myself and my life. I know we are always looking for the latest and greatest beauty secret, something that will improve who we are. Wisdom is the best beauty secret and the greatest thing about it is it’s no secret at all. God freely gives it to those who ask! Ask for it today and begin to witness it’s incredible transformation in your own life!

Beautiful in Him,
Leslee
